On October 13, 2023, M+AFF gathered M+ collection artists and industry leaders to SkyLounge to celebrate the museum’s incredible success in the short two years since it opened.

Maureen Kim, Board Vice Chair, spoke about the museum, the significance of the museum’s impact on Hong Kong, and the wider Asia visual culture. The special guest of the evening, Pauline Yao, the Lead Curator of Visual Culture, joined from Hong Kong to share insight about upcoming exhibitions for 2024, which will include the first significant international retrospective for I.M. Pei, graphic designer Henry Steiner, and fashion designer Guo Pei.

Members of the M+AFF Visionaries Leadership Committee, Rei Inamoto and JiaJia Fei, shared reasons for becoming involved with M+AFF and supporting the museum. Fei made special mention of an M+ exhibition focused on Madame Song, a pioneer of art and fashion in China. 

The M+AFF team invited all in attendance to visit M+ in Hong Kong and to stay engaged with M+AFF as the program schedule in the United States rolls out in the coming year.
